Myrtle Beach based company Kluckin Films headed by film maker Dwayne King has succeeded in delivering a working class horror/splatter film with 'The Bleeding'. King was also involved in the film Kill Syndrome which has gained an underground cult status. The Bleeding is a very cool, energetic and fun urban tale of women gone mad as they lay siege to the city in a blood crazed hunger.

Women are becoming overcome by what seems to be their menstrual cycle as they bleed profusely from between their legs in numerous cool looking blood spurting sequences. Once this process sets in they become ravenous lunatics hellbent on killing every man in sight. The women have a zombie like hunger and munch on any poor male fucker who happens to cross their path.

The Bleeding is entertaining and fast paced in delivery so it holds the viewers attention plus it also has a tongue in cheek quality adding to its charm. It's a good time and in its just over an hour running time I found myself not losing interest. Lots of carnage, blood splatter and practical gore effects present.

The Bleeding is a fresh take on low budget horror and Dwayne King has taken no budget horror and made it a fun watch here. Not many main characters per see but a guy by the name of Bracey seems to appear more than others and Priestess Kandi Ranson-King looks familiar as I have seen her in Kill Syndrome. It's a great concept to have women turning crazed during their demonic period and despite its zero budget and shortcomings The Bleeding's blue collar demeanor is worth checking out.

My rating: 3 out of 5
