This shit was packed full of #feminism and #art. Overflowing with it. I was drowning! If I was a woman I would feel so empowered right now. But I'm not. So I feel depressed.

But really, it was cool. It ranged from very interesting to very draggy though and I felt that it didn’t need to be as long as it was at all. It could've ran 40 minutes and have been just as effective.

The basic idea here is that working class women are tired of being treated differently so they revolt, militarizing in an attempt to gain equality. The woman who organizes the Woman’s Army “commits suicide” in prison, causing women from all over the world to come together in her honor.

It played like it was part The Warriors, part Death Race, part The Ladies Club, and part super political, boring movie that I began to struggle to pay attention to. I didn't hate it. But it definitely became a task to make it all the way through. As a film nerd, I’m not as impressed as I hoped to be. And this is entirely because it was poorly paced.

That being said, I think that this film should be required summer reading for feminists and any kind of activist. I am neither of those things.

Oh. And. They also blow the fuck out of the World Trade Center at the end.
