James Quinn and Sodom And Chimera Productions have exploded on the dark avant garde indie horror scene. Flesh Of The Void has been in the works for awhile and is now officially getting a release through the awesome label Black Lava Productions in Germany. From what I understand the pre-order is sold out or almost sold out. Flesh Of The Void has been stirring up hype and picking up much momentum.

Flesh Of The Void is a blackened journey into the underworld of fears and teeth mashing hate. We get bizarre narration, nightmarish images which contain controversial yet maintain an honest edge. Flesh Of The Void is divided into a number of acts or chapters, each one explore deeper down beneath the black slime which festers in man.

There is no linear story line here and no real dialogue unless you count agonizing wails and screams, its a disturbing art piece. Watch as images of a masked priest masturbate to photos of children and in another scene the holy cross is violated. The ignorance of religion seems to be a reoccurring theme expressed in Flesh Of The Void. Handling some of the effects in the film is none other than indie film making wizard James Bell who has also become a self taught effects guru.

A disturbing and experimental journey based on ones fear of death as if it is the worst thing that the more terrifying life can throw at you. I get feelings of E. Elias Merhige's Begotten (1990) and I'm reminded of stuff such as Phil Stevens nightmarish journey in Flowers or Lung 2. Austrian director James Quinn also has a number of other nightmarish works such as The Law Of Sodom (2016), The Temple Of Lilith (2017) and the upcoming Sulphur For Leviathan. All of Quinn's films sport a black and white color palate which evoke a unique and rustic filming style. An artistic vision of darkness and a rabid following will etch the films of James Quinn into everyone's minds.
